The practice

Since 2007 we’ve built Staniforth into a practice that wins work most firms our size never get near - and delivers it to a standard that keeps work coming. 

We’re now building deliberately. Not bigger for the sake of it. Better. The aim is a practice of around twenty to twenty-five people who are, each of them, genuinely among the best at what they do. That’s the whole strategy. Get the people right and everything else follows. 

This is a new chapter for us, and we mean to make it the best one yet. 

The work

The range is unusually broad for a practice our size: one-off private houses through to high-rise city-centre residential schemes - alongside commercial, retail, industrial, and sensitive conservation and listed-building work. 

We’re design-led, but we’re commercial. The drawings have to be well crafted and considered and they have to deliver. If you’ve ever felt boxed into one project type, this is the opposite of that. 

Who we’re looking for

One exceptional Architectural Technologist. 

Not a seat to fill - a person to build with. Someone with real experience and real range, who takes pride in getting it right, and who’s quietly confident they’re among the best at what they do.

How we work

You choose how you work best. Lead a team, run solo, or collaborate - whatever gets the best out of you. We care about the work, not the performance of being busy. 

Flexible hours and hybrid working as standard. Two offices to work from - Leicester city centre and Market Harborough - so you can sit where it suits the work and your life. 

The part most firms won’t say

We’re building this practice into something genuinely valuable, and we think the people who help build it should share in what it becomes. 

What we’ll tell you honestly is this: as the practice grows into what it’s becoming, there’s real intent to bring the key people who built it into the value they’ve created. We’d rather say that plainly than dress it up. The detail is a conversation - and it’s one we’re happy to have.
