To promote the Marks & Spencer 'strawmato' – an exclusive, strawberry shaped tomato.
Mechanic
We worked with M&S to identify stories to generate national food news coverage and communicate the brand values of quality, service, innovation, trust and value. We identified the Strawmato story and sold it in to the media with a supporting image.
Results
£452,000 of coverage, including Daily Mail, Times and BBC Radio 4. The 'Strawmato' name – coined for the story by STANIFORTH\ – is to be given to the tomato when it goes on sale.
